When we launched our online magazine in January 2010, we had no idea it would grow as fast as it has!  Nearly every day we get contacted by fans and artists about the work we’re doing.  We hear and read the word “love” a lot!  People just love learning about the wonderful artists we have in Austin and the fantastic work they are doing.

We’re helping local artists get greater exposure and create an instant connection with our growing fan base.

Did you know that our locally owned and operated website gets about 3,000 visits per month? Our Facebook Fan Page has nearly 4,000 fans!  AND our video interviews are also shown on nowplayingaustin.com, another local website that gets about 20,000 visits per month!   FYI, the Greater Austin Creative Alliance owns and operates nowplayingaustin.com.

If you would you like to be a featured artist on our website, here’s how:

BE A FEATURED ARTIST on Austin-Artists.com

This is our #1 request and we can handle this a couple of ways…

Option #1: We come to your location and interview you on camera (like the interviews you see on our site).  This includes planning the video session, developing questions and travel to your location. The videotaping process takes about an hour once we’re on location, and the finished/edited video is usually 5-6 minutes in length. We typically take a number of photos to include in your video, too. Your completed video interview is usually promoted on our site 3-4 weeks after the video session.  We promote your video via our Facebook fan page and feature it on our website, where it remains in our featured category (and in our image slider*) for 3-4 weeks.  Also, we provide you with the video embed code for use on your website. The cost for this service is $495.  We can accept credit card and PayPal payments.

Option #2: You provide an edited video, no longer than 6 minutes, similar to what we create, and submit the embed code and write-up to us.  We promote the interview via our Facebook fan page and feature the interview on our website, where it remains in our featured category (and in our image slider*) for 3-4 weeks.  The cost for this service is $129.

What if you’re camera shy but would still like to be promoted on our website?

We have an answer!

Option #3: You write an interview/story about yourself and your work and include 3-5 high quality photos of you/your work and submit to us.  We’ll give you (or the writer) credit for the story and photos. We’ll promote the interview via our Facebook fan page and place the written interview on our website.  It remains the featured interview for at least one week.  The cost for this is…pay what you can/what it’s worth to you. This option has real value, and we leave it to you to determine what that amount is.

Get Discovered

Artists that we have featured are receiving the continued benefit of being “discovered” for months after their initial promotion.

Malissa Long, a local fashion designer, was selected for Houston Fashion Week because of her work AND the interview we did of her.

Whether it’s a video interview or a written one, you’ll have another way of being found via search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.  And you want to be found, don’t you? Of course you do!
