“Water Colors”-Video interview with Greta Olivas

We got a 2for1 on Saturday at the Scarbrough buliding in downtown Austin.  Photographer and painter Greta Olivas  has her “Water Color” series of photos on display.  This series is incredibly colorful, and each one speaks uniquely.  Another Austin artist worth knowing!

We decided to take a trip to the HOPE Farmers Market near downtown and meet some of the wonderful people that sell their goods there.  If you’re looking for natural food products or clothing or art, check it out.  Support local artists!

Grumbacher is planning fine art workshops

We received a note from Katie Blanchard at Grumbacher Paint a few days ago.  Grumbacher is planning to offer fine art workshops beginning in March, and with that, they are looking for artists to partner with them on the workshops.  Here’s the press release, and Katie’s email address is at the end.

LEEDS, MA; Dec. 15, 2009 – Grumbacher art supplies is excited to partner with a prominent retailer to offer fine art workshops in retail stores. These workshops will consist of two hours of instruction, during which time students will complete an acrylic painting. There are four curricula in the current line of acrylic workshops, including floral, still life, landscape, and seascape.
