Most of us have heard of musical families, but Leticia Rodriguez is truly part of one. She and her brothers grew up in a home filled with music. Not only does she sing, but she dances and acts, too. Austin-Artists brings you our interview with Justin Durban, a film score creator and film director. Justin’s music has been used in promoting several feature films, including Avatar, Harry Potter-Order of the Phoenix, Australia, Mummy 3 and more. Justin and his family moved to Austin from Los Angeles about a year ago, and are thrilled with all of the helpful and creative types they’ve met here.

Partners with Large Retailer to Bring Fine Art to Everyone
LEEDS, MA; Dec. 15, 2009 – Grumbacher art supplies is excited to partner with a prominent retailer to offer fine art workshops in retail stores. These workshops will consist of two hours of instruction, during which time students will complete an acrylic painting. There are four curricula in the current line of acrylic workshops, including floral, still life, landscape, and seascape.

Austin Artists.com met with Street Light Suzie, an up and coming rock band. Austin has many musicians, and to stand out, you’ve got to have your musical act together. In true rock ‘n roll form, they are working their way up the ladder, having been on multiple US tours, with another underway. They are as entertaining off the stage as they are on! These guys were a great interview, but if you don’t like “colorful” language, beware.
